I drove down to
Lolland last thursday evening. Tina had to work the
weekend so I left her behind. Already thursday evening I
made a foul of myself. I had been talking myself into
buying this new e-bike for the summerhouse. It was on
sale at THansen
with a lot of savings. I could see, that the store at
Maribo had two in stock where one was in the showroom -
That one I did not want. As I was waiting for my turn a
women buy the one in the unopened box - I became so
disappointed that I left the store and headed home to the
summerhouse without talking to the staff.
But as I was working
"from home" on friday I could see, that the store still
had two in stock - that made me wonder! I could see,
that the store had the same model - but with small tires.
So I figured out that it must have been that model the
women bought and not the one I wanted. So back to the
store friday afternoon and I finally bought the
bike in an unopened box as I wanted. It is a folding
bike and quickly I put it together and took a first run
on it. First it is not a chinese crap bike. It is a
Korean bike but still made cheap. There is not that
sense of quality - but it also was a cheap bike for a
e-bike to be. Hopefully it will last a least more that
the warranty.
On saturday I began
cutting down trees in the back yard. We have these plum
trees that take a lot of the sun from the greenhouse and
our new high beds. That took all of saturday just
cutting down and driving the the recycling station. On
my second last run I noticed that one of the indicators
on the trailer didn't work. I counted on, that it must
have been the light balls that had to be changed. I went
to Nakskov sunday morning and bought some new ones. Sure
enough - it just had to change the light ball and then
it worked again. But then it didn't work because I had
installed the ball incorrectly - but I figured it out
and all was good.
I also stayed monday
and first headed home on tuesday. On monday a sewer
master from a local firm came by to take a look on our
local sewer. He was a nice guy and had some questions
that meant I had to call the previous owner of the
house. Later monday I visited him at his new places with
some cake. He had made a drawing of the pipes and lead
out. Hopefully that will work so we can get some
progress in getting it fixed.
On sunday evening I
decided to try and make some food with Tofu. I might
begin to eat more Tofu or more correctly - just begin
eating it. I made a red curry stew containing coconut
milk, chicken, tofu, red curry and served with rice. I
might be modest - but it tasted pretty damn good and I
didn't mind the consistency of tofu.

Oh my god how time
just goes fast. Tomorrow comes the longest day this year
and we once again goes backwards into the dark winter.
But until we reach that target we still have a hole
summer to spend! And what a summer it has been so fare.
My skin tone is already a crisp brown from all the sun.
The passing week the rain finally came back. Not enough
rain to matter but still something is better than
nothing. We drove down to our summerhouse on friday for
the weekend. On saturday we visited Red Cross in
Nakskov
to buy a second hand three person sofa - of course I
forgot to take pictures! It was a real nice sofa which
only needed to be cleaned for dog hairs.
Else we didn't do
much else than removing weed and watering and nursing
the garden. Even though it has been raining a bit - it
is still pretty hot and sunny. The potatoes have real
grown since last weekend. Maybe soon we will be able to
have home grown potatoes on the dinner table.
We got a hearing
letter from Lolland municipality about our sewer which
is not cleaning the water good enough. In september we
will get an injunction to get it fixed and 12 months to
get it done. I will surely follow up on that the coming
year. We didn't know, that it wound come - hopefully we
have the money to get it fixed.
I have to do
something about the chain on my bike. It keeps falling
off because it is too lose. I might have to take of a
link to make the chain a bit smaller.

- Still dry as hell - no rain in the weather forecast
On friday I went to
"Bakken"
for the annual summer party in the company. First we had
5 games where we competed against each other. Afterward
we tried the old wooden roller
coaster - just once. Then dinner - this year it was
served dinner, which was much better than last year,
where the line to the buffet was endless. The starter
was some kind of salmon mouse then beef cuvette and then
something I have forgot. The wine was okay thinking it
was bulk. On saturday we went by an old colleague of
mine. Later in the evening I dropped Tina off at a bus
station and went alone down to our summerhouse at
Lolland. Tine could not come as she had at knitting
party on sunday. I simply had to go because of the
weather and the heat. I had to water our new high beds
and some other plants and flowers - else it would all
die. I didn't do much except cleaning up some weed and
walking around the garden. I went home in the late
afternoon sunday.
I went to the gym
alone on monday. My usual buddy was going to
Oslo on
business. Today I took a detour home though the central
Copenhagen while I was taking some photos to publish on
my new "Pictures of Copenhagen" page. This morning I
found a digger down in a hole in the ground.

- Dry as hell
We spend last
weekend down at our summerhouse at
Lolland.
As usual the weather forecast from
SMHI came true and
gave us a hot and sunny but slightly windy weekend. I
had the hedge cut down to a manageable size and changed
a lot of window trims on our winder garden. Actually it
became too hot so we had a power nap after lunch, where
it was hottest. Nice our new plum tree still survives
the brutal sun.
We are a little
worried about our two new high beds that the sun will
burn them off while we are not there. Maybe I will drive
down the coming weekend just to give them some water.
We have bough some kind of water control from the
company
Gardena - we hope it will be able to water the high
beds at the middle of the week went we are not there -
so the newly grown potatoes don't die. But it has yet to
be installed. The weather forecast still say sun and warm weather. The
lawn down has begun to get dead'ish and will most likely
stay in hibernation until we get rain again. Tina will
have to stay home this weekend and take care of her home
knitting club.

At work we are
approaching the midway status to City Hall and all the
extra work it brings along. But seems to go nice and
steady without to much stress. On friday we have the
annual summer party. This year we will once again be
going to "Bakken"
for dinner and maybe some wine.
I went to the gym
yesterday just for a solo session. That went okay even
though it was hot. I finished off by doing some
bouldering - damn that has become more hard that I
remembered it to be.
2023-06-01
- Before the weekend update
I went to the gym on
wednesday for the weekly heavy session - I worked on
this black
6b on the large overhang. I tried it twice. First
time I had a comfort pause just before it got real
overhang. The second time I made it all the way to the
top, but could not hold the last hand hole and do the
anchor clip. Otherwise I basically speend the rest of
the evening on fucking up my fingers - beat them to
become stronger.
When I came home
from the gym Tina had bad news from the hospital. Sadly
the cancer thing is still a problem however the doctors
were not worried. But still it make us kind of
uncomfortable.
2023-05-30
- The weekly update
I went to the gym
both last tuesday and wednesday. The session on tuesday
was great as I closed one of my projects a grade
6b on the big overhang. The top was a bit heavy, but
when I positioned myself more on the feet I managed to
close it. The rest of the days was just happy climbing.
On wednesday I went alone just to enjoy myself and train
on the auto belay. My fingers was kind of ruined after
to two days in a row in the gym.
On thursday I went
to Tivoli with
the guys for one beer and the state of the world. Later
thursday evening I drove down to Lolland and our
summerhouse. The police had a speeding raid with a laser
control. All the three police motorbikes were busy as I
passed. Luckily I had the car on cruise control matching
the speed limit as I usually do. I worked from home on
friday and just enjoyed the very good weather. I painted
the winter garden yet another layer of white which
really did it make look so much nicer than before. I
picked up Tina at the station in
Maribo
saturday after she had finish work and took the train
down south. We spend most of the weekend just cleaning
the garden from weed and other unwanted green growing
things. It might sound boring but in way a very
satisfying thing to do even though it is futile as
nature always win.
Sunday evening I had
kind of an accident involving red vine. Because I am
cheep I didn't wanted throw the rest from a 3 liter wine
box I drank the rest causing me to get very drunk.
Thankfully Tina had already gone to bed. In a fare away
corner of the garden first peed on my hands then in
another corner I puked up a lot. After cleaning myself I
did a fast walk around the block to try and get some of
the alcohol burned off. On monday I watered the garden
with a hose - I also washed away the mix of red vine and
popcorn - so disgusting - but most of all - Tina will
never find out.

A random selfie on my way to work early in the
morning
We drove south last
wednesday to our summer house down at
Lolland.
We didn't went fare before traffic stopped us. We
decided to skip the traffic and went shopping in a mall
near by. After an hour the traffic was still heavy but
manageable. We did tons of stuff down there. We finished
the high bed with watering system. I begang removing
some of the ugly carport, began paining the winter
garden and removing weed.
Monday became the
first day of this year, where I drove just in t-shirt
from work though Copenhagen to the gym, and afterwards
home. The session in the gym was good and once again a
hard one. I did some finger hard routes but only after a
proper warm-up. Today - tuesday was not that good
weather wise. I had to put on my long sleeves and I even
put on gloves on my way home.
The next update will
most likely be next monday or tuesday.

- On the summer team
Many from the
offices were sick last week - I guess that something is
going around for the moment. I went to the gym both
tuesday and thursday. Tuesday was with a buddy and it
turned out to be a hard session. Much harder than I had
planed - my fingers were pretty fucked up at the end of
the session. I went alone on thursday. I wanted a quick
session as I would drive down to Lolland alone.
I have spend some
time in making "Pictures of Copenhagen"
- a new page - I don't I have to take a lot of pictures!
The weather forecast
for the weekend said, that this weekend would be the
first real summer days with +20 degrees. Tina could not
come as she wanted to visit her sisters instead - so I
had a weekend off just for my self. On friday evening I
went to Jem&Fix at
bought a water container for the high plan beds.
Unfortunately was the slow leaking hoses sold out.
I spend saturday
cleaning out the back yard for old garden waste and
setting up the new water container. Sunday was my day
off. With high sun I eat my breakfast in the front yard.
Scrambled eggs, a bun and hot hot cocoa.

- So it all went to shit again
As I came on on
thursday I could fell something was wrong in my body. I
fell tired and like something big was on the way. I
ended the day with one big shot of rum. Surely enough -
on friday morning my throat was rotten and I felt
feverish. I almost didn't leave my bed friday, saturday
and sunday. On monday I finally began moving around -
just a little. And the same time Tina was down as well.
We had both monday off on tuesday I began working from
home - not entirely well but sick enough to just do
nothing. Tina call in sick the rest of the week. We both
drove down to Lolland wednesday late afternoon after I
had shut down for the day.
I think it was yet a
turn of chinese Corona - headache, vomiting, lack of
taste and smell, cough and so on. Both thursday, friday
and the rest of the weekend went slow. The only thing we
really finished was the two new high plant beds. I am
not sure Tina is well enough for work on monday - I hope
I will be.
2023-04-26
- Normal everyday
The warm weather
have been replaced by cold weather with only 5 degrees
in the morning. I have yet again put on the long sleeves
to avoid freezing my ass off on my way to work. I
brought some tulips from our summerhouse to work -
everyone are saying how beautiful they are. I went to
the gym on tuesday. I thought it would be an easy
session alone because my buddy had canceled - she has
hurt her tail bone. But my other buddy came and we had
an awesome session. So many people - most likely because
all the boulder walls have been striped for this
weekends competition.
I decided to climb
very careful because my left elbow had begun to hurt a
little again. But it went fine and all was good to day
wednesday.
2023-04-24
- Warm weather - That was nice
Most of last week
was pretty warm. The big finale was saturday with
temperatures around 20 degrees. As we left our
summerhouse sunday all the trees and bushes look like
small green bombs just waiting to explode.
Last week I went
to the gym tuesday and thursday. Tuesday was a cozy
session just to maintain the mussels. The session on
thursday was quite intensive and left me with an easy
pain in the elbow. I have to remember to be easy and
don't act like a 5 year old went I am over 50!
We drove down to
Lolland on a sunny friday afternoon. Immediately
saturday we began on the high bed. First we went to
Nakskov
to buy supplies. Then the digging and assembling the
wood structure. The digging was extensive and heavy. We
kept finding old nails and other crap in the dirt. The
previous owner had left a lot of brick stones which we
have begun using as the floor. We didn't finish this
time - but we hope to finish next time. We just need to
finish the floor and make some steps and then of cause
fill up the high bed with some green biologically
materials.

I began the day with
swallowing two
Paracetamol as I felt a bit all around. But the bike
ride to work cured everything. Because of easter it was
only four days that I had been off from work. Thankfully
there wasn't that many mails to deal with. The good
weather made it a good working day. I had forgot my
lunch last evening on the kitchen desk outside the
fridge - so I had to throw it out - I don't like hidden
surprises in my food. Instead I went by a supermarket
and bought a burger'ish thing - just to punish myself
for my forgetfulness.
On my way home I
enjoyed the good weather where the wild daffodil are
almost in flower. I even gave myself time for a selfie
on Long
bridge. Later in the evening I found out, that one
of the music artists I follow has a
Bandcamp
profile - so I just had to buy her latest album from
2021. It is always nice to buy music from a site, which
has a
fair trade policy. So the day ended as a good day.

- Picked up Tina - who was sick and I too got pretty fucked up
I picked up Tina at
the station wednesday evening. But she was rotten - she
feel sick and was coughing and feverish. She passed it
on to me and I too feel sick the next two days. On
sunday we both felt okay and went ahead on a little new
year project. Last new years even our sick neighbor came
by and throw a brick stone though our living room
window. We promised ourselves to do a remake of our new
year evens dinner. As usual we had Lamb as main course.
As a starter we had avocado with shrimp. Later we saw
the movie "Small
Town Killers", "The
Menu" and finally the movie "65"
- All in all it turned out to be a nice cozy evening.
The next many days until friday we both felt quite sick
- I even had a hole day in bed. All we could was to sit
and enjoy the nature around us. Even the neighbors cat
came by to catch mice.
On friday we both
was almost normal again and we went to
Maribo
to buy "stuff" Tina wanted for the greenhouse. Last year
Tina only had two boxes but this year she wanted five
new ones.
Saturday evening we
found out, that there was something wrong with our our
pellet furnace. It was like the fan had stopped working.
I investigated the problem - it was like the fan only
would work on full power. I began to dissemble the burn
unit and focused on the fan which I also dissemble. It
felt like there was lots of resistance in the bearings.
First I cleaned it for dust and I gave it some oil -
that helped and did the trick. After I and assemble the
burn unit again it work as it is supposed to do.
Hopefully this will last else I will have to change the
fan. I don't mind working like this and fixing things as
long it is only unscrewing thing where assembling is
just screwing the opposite way. As it was kind of broken
in the first place, it was free to experiment as the
bill for the repair would most likely be the same.
On sunday we headed
home to Copenhagen again. We went in the early afternoon
as the weather was kind of crappy.
I didn't really
sleep than well. I woke up like a hundreds times during
the night and wasn't really motivated to change the
world when the alarm woke me up a 6 pm. Anyway - I went
up and a bath helped on the mood. I had already decided
to stop work one hour before usual time. I have setup
the old couch in the winter garden so I could take a
powernap after work. It turned out to become a 2 1/2
hour long one.
Afterward I cleaned
the outside mouse trap and untangled the pennon which
had about 20 knots. Later today I will pick up Tina at
the station and the happy life is over. Actually I
haven't really done shit the last five days! - Just what
I needed.
2023-04-04
- Alone day 4
Yet another day at
the home offices with a beautiful sunrise. It is strange
how fast time goes - tomorrow is the last working day
before easter.
Around 9:30 I took 2
hours off to do some shopping at
Maribo.
I now understand why cars are so important on the county
side. I Copenhagen I would just walk around and do the
shopping - I might take the bike, if it was too long or
heavy. But down here at
Lolland
first a 25 minutes drive then four stops - Aldi, Lidl,
the drugstore and then Netto. It would take forever
walking!
Seldom have I done
so little. Woke up early and went to the home offices -
POW and then the clock was almost 5 pm. I took a short
walk around the garden and my brain went on screensaver
mode.
2023-04-02
- Alone day 2
I went late to bed
so the morning felt like a happy vacation I didn't
wanted to spoil. Once again I made a good solid
breakfast with eggs and a bun. I began cleaning one of
the flower beds for weed and leftovers from the winter.
Then the lawn got all my attention - first I
changed the oil on the lawnmower and then I did the
complete tour meaning the garden, front garden and along
the road in front.
We have bought two
high flower beds. Because Tina's back isn't that good
and she don't like bending to much over. I will
try to make it easier for her by digging a work trench.
The plan is to reinforce it with tree and use bricks as
the floor. But first I wanted to try digging to see how
hard the earth was - it seems possible. I have to wood
buy supplies one of the coming days.
Then it was time to
clean the pellet furnace - or maybe not. I though it
would by overdue but it actually could have waited for
some time yet. Anyway I gave it some TLC - now it should
be able to run least 30 working days.
2023-04-01
- Alone day 1
I woke up to ruff
weather - high wind, rain and temperatures just around 3
degrees. But no reason to rush anything - I am at the
summerhouse alone and all the time in the world to do
absolutely nothing. I made a solid breakfast with bread
and scrambled eggs - then began to work on our puzzle
while hearing
Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. All in all a nice cozy
start of my stay down at Lolland. After lunch I took at
long power nap as I woke up the weather was still windy
but much more sunny. I took a walk around the garden
which was freezing. I when in and had a long talk with
Tina back at Copenhagen. I kept working on the puzzle
and finish the audio book - then it was time for dinner
and a relaxing evening watching movies.

Time is rushing off to nowhere
The usual everyday
life is rushing away toward a hopefully warm and
pleasant summer. But right here and now it is kind of
rough. Last tuesday I went for the half year dentist
inspection and cleaning - for once without being ripped
off. Zero holes and off I went. I went to the gym twice
last week - I kind of forget how it went. On friday my
boss gave a "cake
man" to the department. We have had a well-being
survey with a 100 response percentage.
On saturday we went
by Tina's brother in law and his small birthday party.
On sunday we had our wedding day - we decided to keep it
simple and went for brunch at cafe
Vivaldi at city
center. Afterward we went to the cinema to see the new
John
Wick movie. The movie was okay - maybe to much
killing - but that is kind of the theme of the movie!
Monday the weather
turned awful with snow and shitty weather. Later on
monday I went to the gym for what turned out to be a
long climbing session. I made two onsides on 6b overhang
routes - which were awesome. I was home just before 10
in the evening - coming home after a long day. Tuesday
morning was cold but clear skies - very nice weather for
the 25 minutes bike ride to work.
Down a our
summerhouse the new camera have send a notification
twice - once on saturday where a deer was in the front
yard
And again on monday
where a bunny was jumping around.

After a weekend at our summerhouse
We drove down to our
summerhouse thursday evening. I picked up Tina from her
work and off we went. On the way south we went by
Jem&Fix and
bought two plant raised beds. Tina had friday off from
work and I could work "from home" as I no important
meeting that demanded my present. I spend most of my
time cleaning the back yard. I removed a little fence,
cleaned the ground and replanted some very small trees
which I hope will grove big some day.
The weather was
super fantastic - on sunday we went by the recycling
station. On our way home we went by the local baker and
bought two small cakes. We eat them as we sat in the
back yard and enjoyed the sun. I guess the temperature
was around 13 degrees and almost no wind. I still had
our long sleeves on - but still very pleasant.

I worked home
tuesday as the weather forecast said something about
this huge winter storm. But it turned out to be almost
nothing. Yes it was cold and slippery wednesday morning
- but nothing I haven't seen before. Actually it was a
pretty nice driving weather with less wind and clear
skies.
I went to the gym on
thursday for at climbing session with two other buddies.
I feel as strong as I ever have been and still I have
managed to keep the injuries away. I think it is about
time to begin to push things just a little bit more and
begin on some of the 6b's on the big overhang. On my way
home friday I went by one of my favorite liquor
shops and bought a whiskey and a home made sweet rom.
Tina have been
talking to Lolland municipality about a permit for our
garage at the summerhouse. It is now finally, that we
won't get a permit and we at some point have to remove
it. It at little bummer as I like the functionality -
but it so ugly. I don't think I will miss it, when it is
gone. Getting it torn down might be a bigger job than
the barn. There is some electrician work, the chimney
from the pellet furnace, the door to the outhouse and
more that have to be fixed. The reason for the rejection
is, the most of the garage is no within our ground. This
haven't been a problem the last 50 years - but we just
can't get a permit.
I would have made an
update tuesday evening, but I didn't sleep well between
monday/tuesday. I slept like one hour and then awake one
hour and the same again all over again. I was really
crashed at work and we even had a 3 hours workshop and
afterward two hours of playing
petanque.
That was fun - but I was really run over afterward. I
laid down around 8 and just fell a sleep until the clock
radio began at 6 am.
I was better
wednesday where I tried my new very cheep German made
sun glasses. They cost only 6,5 Euro in
Lidl. I bought two
pairs - they are probably rubbish and will most likely
break soon. But at least it German crap and not corona
china forced labor made. I went to the gym wednesday
afternoon - just for some chilled bouldering for myself.
Maybe I was a little hard on myself as I could feel both
my bad left elbow, my bad right over arm and my knees.

Long work week off from work
So the project was
to remove this old wood barn or whatever you would call
it. I began sunday by removing all the wood for the fire
pit and cleaning out shit from the barn. I began monday
with the removal of the backend of the barn and removal
of this structure. It was surprising fast gone as I just
could unscrew the joints and just undo mostly
everything. Afterward I began to remove the sides of the
barn. After removing the end section and one side
section I got quite worry as the whole structure all
became very wobbly. I feared an uncontrollable tilt or
failure. To counter this I immediately began removal of
the roof – the top weight of the structure. I finish off
this day’s work by adding two wood beans at the end of
the barn which seems to increase the stability.
I continued tuesday
with the removal of the sides, then the roof structure
and finally the rest of the structure. It was kind of an
easy job. However wednesday proofed maybe to be the
hardest day – driving all the building waste to the
recycling station. Meaning lifting everything I spend
two days to remove onto the trailer and drive it away.
In the evening I could really feel the hard work in my
back. Luckily the recycle station is only 5 min. drive
away.
I worked very easy
thursday – I began late by build up a new end wall for
the garage. As we still haven’t an official permit for
the garage I decided to only use recycle materials from
the old barn. Some of the wood was in very good
condition, so the reused actually made sense. If we
don’t get a permit, we wouldn’t have wasted any money.
If we get a permit, we can always change the materials
for something nicer. I finish off the work friday
afternoon. I did some cleaning and finished off the
work. I decided I needed to relax and to take the rest
of the week off – meaning drinking wine and just do
nothing.

No much have
happened since last update. It has just been normal
everyday life. The biggest change has been, that we have
gained 20 minutes more light in the mornings. It was
clear skies yesterday all tuesday - The early mornings
were very visible and beautiful as I arrived at work.
On sunday we went to
my parents in
Albertslund for breakfast and to discuss the state
of the world. Afterward we drove to
Bauhaus to check out some offers - but they turned
out to be not so interesting after all. Then we drove to
Jysk and afterward
Bilka for just
normal everyday shopping. Later on sunday I fixed my
hair by doing a blonding. Somehow I look just a bit
younger with blond hair.
I went to the gym
last friday on a last session before they stripped all
the routes on the big overhang walls because of the
competition the coming weekend. I went to the gym again
on monday where the work had begun - that was just an
easy session alone where I also did some bouldering.
Work is still
very quieted - usually it stays that way until mid
april. On wednesday I drove a detour on my way home. I
went by
Christianshavn just because I could.
I have a vacation
all next week. I am not sure when the next update will
come or if I will do a daily update. The project next
week is to demolish an outbuilding and just relax :-) I
will be at the summerhouse alone as Tina has to week.
I have been
wondering about happiness and how to achieve happiness.
I think I have realized that it all begins with ones own
attitude toward one self and others. This will not bring
changes itself - but by accepting this concept one has a
chance/possibility to begin making positive changes.
This might be bullshit but usually things are as they
are and can't be changed. It is our own perspective that
decide if we fell positive/negative about things.

Fast update
The pictures below
are from last thursday - a pretty pleasant sunny day. It
has begun to be just a little red in the horizon in the
morning as I arrive at work in the morning. When it is
not completely clouded the day begins with a beautiful
red sky. Later thursday I drove though the city to the
gym for a climbing session.
I left work early on
friday and drove down to our summerhouse for the
weekend. On saturday I picked up Tina at the station and
we spend saturday and sunday together at the house. I
did some garden work on saturday but forgot to take
pictures - sorry.
This week is usual
quiet at work because of the winter holidays. Yesterday
monday I once again went to the gym for a climbing
session.

All my puny sorrows
Monday was a typical
day. At work we began the day with pastry because I new
employee started. Later on the day we got even more
cake. After the last weeks rush and long working hours
it was nice finally to leave work already around 3 pm. I
began tuesday with working from home. Around 8:30 I took
the bike and drove to City Hall for a 3 hour long
workshop. I am still amazed about the indoor bike
parking.
Afterward I went for
Burger King - That did not go well. I mistakably got
extra ketchup in the burger instead of for the french
fries. I still don't understand, why I should pay extra
for ketchup? I should just be free in my opinion.
After driving the
bike back home, and I worked some extra hours I drove
for the gym around half past 2. My buddy had
unfortunately cancel so I took a "Han
Solo" session. The was almost empty that early and I
had the auto belays for my self.
The sun was shining
from blues skies as I drove home wednesday.
I have made a new
simple subpage to make an
imdb
search. Using this link makes it impossible to track
repeated searches though out Imdb.

Almost a wasted week
I had to work from
home monday to thursday last week because I still felt a
bit sick and needed an extended powernap after work.
Thursday was the first day where I woke up without a
rotten throat and green icicles hanging from my nose.
That could only result in one thing - going to the gym
after work. I went early and was at the gym already just
before 3 pm just to find out, that the gym was closed
until 4 pm because of a fashion show. But they were cool
enough to let me wait at the cafe, where I bought a
coffee. I texted my buddy to come a bit later - no
reason we both were hung up. It was so nice finally to
be at the gym - I could feel on my fingers, that I have
being skipping practice and had to be careful not to
over do things.
On saturday I
finally upgraded my computer with the new 2 TB WD Black
SN750 NVMe SSD M.2 drive I bought early december last
year. At the same time I upgraded from
OpenSuse 15.3
LEAP to the newest version. That was about time as they
stopped maintaining the old version end 2022. It almost
went smoothly except the Nvidia driver was wrongly
installed and I had to reinstall it. I also upgraded my
Vmware Workstation to the newest version for 99
dollars + 24,75 dollars in danish
tax. Afterward I took the car for a relaxing drive
and both checked the oil, tire pressure and filled up
the gas tank.
On sunday I went to
the gym once more - but this time alone. It was nice to
just using the auto belays and do some bouldering
afterward. Next week could turn out to be interesting -
maybe with to sessions and the gym, one meeting at City
hall and a trip to our summerhouse.

Got the windows fixed and got sick
Last week ended kind
of bad with me getting sick. But first - on monday
afternoon the lumber called and asked if he could come
by tuesday to fix our windows, after our mentally ill
neighbor ruined it the afternoon of news years evening .
He throw a brick stone and a raw pork roast through our
dining room window. We decided that I should drive down
to our summerhouse but first I had to drive by work to
pick up my work laptop. Tuesday the
lumber came by and
changed the two windows and fixed the damage on the
wood. It is a very nice done. I returned home to
Copenhagen later in the afternoon after "end of work".
Wednesday morning my
throat was rotten. I had to call my boss and ask for
working from home instead of the offices. Thursday it
was totally misery. I had to call in sick both thursday
and friday. It was totally waste of time - I was lying
in my bed most of the time doing nothing. Same though
the weekend - what a bummer.
To day monday I was
okay to begin working from home. After work I took a 3
hour long powernap which is no normal! It is getting
better and not worse.

Very busy week
It has been the most
busy weekend in the year. At work we have been working
hard on closing down the accounting year of 2022.
Thursday was the last day, where we could make
adjustments. Monday was a semi
long day from 7 to 3:30 pm. After work I went to two
different Rema 1000
to buy veal culottes - they had small size on sale for
small money and canned mackerel for just 0,7 Euro. The
usual price is around 2 Euro or more.
Tuesday was even longer where I
meet at 7 am and left just after 7 pm in the afternoon after a 12 hour
long work day. Because we all worked late the company
paid for dinner - Thai take out. I went for the Khao
Phat with beef and king prawns. Wednesday was also a
long day until after 5 pm. It is nice to drive though
Copenhagen early morning before the city wake up and the
bike cycle paths are over crowded. At work I can updated
data on the spending and Power Bi dashboards before
everyone else comes or weak up.
Friday I pulled
the plug early and went to the gym early around 2 pm. It
turned out to be a long afternoon at the gym - I think I
headed home around 8 after 5 hours at the gym. It was
nice finally to do some climbing and relax the brain a
little. The skin on my fingers are almost gone - but
that is how it goes when the stress has been building
up.
Saturday I once
again went to Rema 1000 to buy even more veal culottes
and canned mackerel. The freezer is now stuffed with
meat and should last until summertime. Sunday I once
again went to the gym for a quick session. I have begun
on this
6c project. I will try to remember to take a photo
next time. The end at the top seems impossible or maybe
it is just something my mind tells me. This is an issue
I will find out during the next weeks - is the route
hard or is it just my mind thinking the route is hard?
The skin on my fingers is even more thin to night.

Home after a weekend at Lolland
I worked from home
on friday. At 2 pm I turned off my work laptop and drove
to pickup Tina at her work. First thing at our
summerhouse is to check out the traps. Yet again we were
"unlucky" to catch a mouse. It was still kind of fresh
and was looking just fine except it it was dead and had
a deep mark where the metal had hit it.
After our experience
with our mentally ill neighbor we decided to drive to
Nakskov
and bought a ladder at
Jem&Fix. This way
we can always escape the first floor in case of fire
blocking the stairs down. Just an insurance in case of
something unexpected. I also had to work a little
saturday to make up, what I didn't managed friday.
Saturday evening we saw "Violent
Night". We also began a new puzzle, Tina quickly
found all the corners, we both found our own small
project to work on - but still we have a long way yet to
finish it.
I cleaned the pellet
furnace sunday morning - the ash tray was full but else
it not that bad. Still it was messy as usual and I had
to take a shower afterward. I also did a walk around the
house to take some mood pictures.

Trying to make a normal update
Monday I was at the
gym. It turned out to be a good session. I closed yet
another 6B on long wall with overhang. I am still a bit
cautious about overdoing things. This is the first time
in 12 months that I am injury free - but a joy to climb
without hurt and doing push-ups without felling one arm
compensating the other. I also went on wednesday just
for myself. It was a "short'ish" session but very
intense - 2 hours. This time they have build some very
good and finger hard routes at the auto belays - they
are very enjoyable to climb and it feels like they are
strengthen my fingers.
Work is very busy
for the moment. Accounting year 2022 is closing down
next week and we all want to make the result as correct
and good as possible. This gives some long works day but
nothing I haven't tried before. It is nice to be the
first one at the offices and avoid all the traffic on
the way.
I haven't heard
from the insurance/lumber about fixing the window yet. I
guess there might currently be some waiting this one new
windows. Next week I will contact them about an ETA.
To day I got a call from the glazier who made the
temporary cover of the broken window. They said the
insurance wouldn't pay for the fix because it wasn't
covered - great I thought!! But it is only money. After
some calls back and forth the insurance accepted to pay
the bill.
The weather is
currently warm but very rainy. The news wrote, that the
average rain for january already have fallen during the
first 12 days of january. I feel, that I already can
feel that the days is just a bit longer now, If we drive
to our summerhouse this weekend, we have to find a new
puzzle.

Mentally ill neighbor came by with brick stone and a raw
pork roast
On the day of New
Years evening Tina and I was assaulted in our house at
Lolland by our mentally ill neighbor. As Tina was in the
kitchen and I was upstairs relaxing the neighbor came by
and began throwing a brick stone and our dining room
window. He continued as Tina was on the other side
yelling at him to stop. As I came down the windows was
broken, and the brick stone was on the floor inside
together with a raw roast pork (don’t ask why) he had
thrown after Tina. I went outside to confront him. He
tried to leave, but after quite a fight I held him back.
I was on top of him on the ground in the driveway until
the police came. I really had to xxxxx him hard to make
him lie still and stop fighting. And I haven’t been in
such a fight since school! Lucky our other neighbor 300
meters down the road had heard the bang from the window
breaking and me yelling at the dude to lie still. He
came in his car to investigate what was up. He helped me
talking to Robert (the sick one) to lie still and just
wait for the police.
It has been quite a
shock for both Tina and I. We have had difficulty
sleeping and eating too. But now one week after the
shock seems to settle down. We have called Lolland
Municipality who have a mobile unit for mentally ill
citizens. We know, that they have been by him a couple
of times. But still - this is a hole new situation for
us that we have to deal with.
Until now we have
decided not to let this affect our use of our
summerhouse. We are not going to buy expensive
surveillance equipment, gates and other stuff. We are
both very angry - I admitted to Tina, that I fell
ashamed, that I wanted to go over to him and beat him up
- she said don't bother yourself - I want to kill him.
But it is what it is, and we just have to cope with this
too.
This was one hell of
a way to end 2022.
